(MI) Sr. IT Systems Administrator

 

Job Title: Sr. IT Systems Administrator                                                       Department: IT

Reports To: AVP, IT Manager                                                                         FLSA Status: Exempt

 

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for analyzing and managing the shared hardware and software platforms utilized by FIB. Will ensure IT system is efficient, compliant, and secure at all times. This position requires a strong working relationship with internal personnel and the management team to ensure the It systems are operating efficiently at all times.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform day-to-day administration of the company’s network
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance and security
  • Assign specific tasks to IT staff for any
  • Analyze system logs and other event logs to detect nefarious activity
  • Coordinate investigations and responses to security incidents
  • Audit the company’s security controls to ensure they are working correctly
  • Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot routers, gateways, firewalls, and other networking infrastructure for local area and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), including Internet connectivity.
  • Act as alternate contact for vendors and regulators in addition to Manager of IT
  • Work with the IT group and support services for enhancing and maintaining both software and hardware deployed by each department of the bank
  • Focus on the strategic aspects of the IT plan to ensure all tasks are completed in a cost effective and efficient manner
  • Work with department Managers to ensure each group within the bank are fully utilizing technology in regard to their daily routines in an effort to be a more efficiently operated institution
  • Have project organization skills to research and implement components of the Technology
  • Test all systems for disaster recovery throughout the
  • Clear audit findings in an efficient and timely manner and build documentation of existing processes and exceptions.
  • Help implement, monitor, and maintain policies and standards for information technology- related controls.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with ability manage IT projects
  • Ability to interact with the management team to improve on daily use of technology
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot IT issues and solutions
  • Ability to make independent evaluation of alternatives and recommend solutions for workflow
  • Must have excellent customer service for both internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, knowledge of standard file server and security of systems,
  • Knowledge of the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) and knowledge of VMWare
  • Previous bank or credit union IT experience preferred
