SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Community Relations Director is responsible for developing and maintaining traditional and interactive marketing strategies. The Marketing and Community Relations Director evaluates customer research, market conditions, competitor data and implements a marketing plan as needed and oversees all marketing, advertising, promotions and sponsorship activities. The Marketing and Community Relations Director secondarily serves as product manager and is responsible for increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products. The Marketing and Community Relations Director is responsible for overall management and strategic direction of the bank’s website and social media and branding of online and mobile offerings. The Marketing and Community Relations Director also oversees donation and sponsorship requests to allocate funds for community development, business development and corporate citizenship according to the bank’s policy. The Marketing and Community Relations Director is also actively involved in the community.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and manage overall brand identity strategies/programs
• Manage creative development, production, placement and multimedia distribution of merchandising materials, ads, direct mail, newsletters, utilizing social media, product campaigns, and sponsorship events
• Create a marketing plan and calendar and ensure adherence to established marketing budget
• Monitor industry/competitive trends and pricing, lead or participate in the design of new products and services
• Manage, recommend and implement functional and design changes for website working with page owners/agency on content and strategy and search engine  optimization with intent of increasing profile of bank
• Manage and maintain an effective social media policy
• Evaluate, revise and recommend donations and sponsorships requests to effectively target community and business development opportunities
• Manage and maintain a regular PR campaign and track results
• Manage and coordinate corporate events
• Liaise with other internal departments and manage outside agencies to develop and execute internal or external marketing projects
• Manage vendor relationships in support of marketing activities
• Other relevant duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Eight plus years of progressive marketing/product development experience with at least five years in management position
• Understanding and experience managing a budget
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills necessary to closely monitor marketing objectives and find solutions
