Branch Administrator

 

SUMMARY:

Administers and coordinates the operations and activities of the branch network. Directs the activities of branch managers to establish goals, monitor performance, manage staff, and meet profitability objectives. This position may also have management responsibility for a branch of its own. Responsible for ensuring effective implementation of bank policy. May also have business development responsibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage branch offices
  • Implement and monitor a sales calling program
  • Develop the branch system’s strategic plan and annual budget to ensure goals are met.
  • Work with management to remain products current and priced competitively
  • Writing, updating and/or editing policies and procedures
  • Interface with Compliance Officer to ensure accuracy of policies and procedures
  • Develop and maintain an employee training program
  • Work with other departments to strengthen communication and improve customer services
  • Monitor branch cash amounts
  • Monitor and adjust staffing levels/performance levels as required
  • Periodic review of NSF and Deficit Balance report at each branch
  • Serve as manager in the absence of a branch manager
  • May accompany branch manager on a sales call.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional and comprehensive manner of work to ensure compliance to procedures and regulations
  • Effective communication skills to provide customer service in person and on the phone
  • Knowledge and application of banking procedures and regulations
  • Knowledge of existing bank products and services
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures consistently and accurately
  • Attention to detail necessary to properly verify and document all aspects of every transaction
  • Proficiency with desk top computer and computer-based applications
  • Participation in required training including compliance, security, regulations and bank secrecy, etc.
  • Active participation in sales promotions to meet prescribed sales goals

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

  • Supervision of all branch managers
  • Interviews and selects new hires
  • Transfer or reassign staff
  • Coach, counsel, mentor and train associates
  • Responsible for oversight of budgetary items (fiscal responsibility)
  • Monitor work production
  • Facilitate department meetings
  • Recommend personnel actions (awards, recognition, promotion, demotion)
  • Communicate and administer policies as set forth by Executive Management
  • Maintain proper documentation on subordinates

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, some college preferably
  • Community banking experience preferred
  • Two to three years of previous work experience, preferably in a banking environment
  • Previous customer service work experience, preferably in a banking environment
  • Prior experience running a teller window preferred
  • Two to three years of previous work experience in a supervisory or management position

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Daily interaction with external customers and branch staff members
  • Daily interface with Accounting, Bank Operations, Loan Operations and other business units

May assume other responsibilities and/or requirements as business objectives impose.
